Nwangwu was the Cyclone who was selected at the NFL Draft for the first time in over one year this past May. Nwangwu received his Madden nfl 22 coins name being called and was picked with the 119th overall pick (fourth round) by the Minnesota Vikings. His speed was one reason why he was picked so high. With more than 30 athletes from 28 NFL teams in Ames to participate in Iowa State's pro day the running back displayed his best speed in the 40-yard dash and was able to finish with an unofficial time of 4.29 seconds. For a better understanding Nwangwu could have been ranked 10th in the 40-yard run if he had done that official time during the NFL Combine. Nwangwu also ran the three-cone test for 6.75 seconds and a 37 inches vertical.
The 6'1 210-pound running back was a major factor in Iowa State's success as a unit in 2020. Breece Hall credited the senior for being the leader of the running back room, and creating the atmosphere for the group. Nwangwu's key 85-yard kick returned in the fourth quarter of Iowa State’s 37-30 victory over Oklahoma made a cheap Madden 22 coins difference in shifting the momentum in Iowa State's favor. Nwangwu played 61 times in his final season to score 339 yards, and four touchdowns.
